BE IT RESOLVED: That the minutes of the last council meeting held on April 4th. 2005 be approved as circulated. Carried

BE IT RESOLVED: That road voucher No. 4 for the amount of $2,868.19 be passed for payment. Carried

BE IT RESOLVED: That we approve payment to the Evansville Eager Beavers of $550.00 for the Burpee and Mills Recreation Complex and $175.00 to the Burpee and Mills Fire Department as total donations received to date in memory of Bryan Noland. Carried

BE IT RESOLVED: That we hire Elizabeth Van Every for the position of Swimming Instructor and Ashley Clarke for the position of Swimming Instructor Assistant. These positions will run from July 4th. to July 29th. 2005. Carried

BE IT RESOLVED: That we have the clerk correspond with the Manitoulin Island Dark Sky Association as per their letter dated April 22, 2005. The correspondence will relate that council does not endorse this concept and does not wish to participate in their proposed project. Carried

RESOLUTION: WHEREAS the Sudbury and District Health Unit has passed motion #23-05 to request the Government of Ontario seek mechanisms to financially support owners, operators and regulators of regulated water systems to ensure initial and continued compliance with Regulation 170/03. AND WHEREAS the municipality of Burpee and Mills supports the Sudbury and District Health Unit’s motion #23-05. NOW THEREFORE LET IT BE RESOLVED that the Municipality of Burpee and Mills requests the Government of Ontario seek mechanisms to financially support owners, operators and regulators of regulated water systems to ensure initial and continued compliance with Regulation 170/03. Carried
