BE IT RESOLVED: That we open the tenders submitted to the township for the Municipal Tax Sales. Carried The sealed tenders were opened by the Reeve (as appointed by the clerk) who read out the bid amount and the bid deposit amount. These amounts were recorded by the clerk and upon verification of the proper 20% bid deposit the highest tender was awarded the property.

BE IT RESOLVED: That the municipality received payment from the owner prior to tenders being opened and we will not open the tenders for roll no. 001 – 30000. Carried |

BE IT RESOLVED: That Lloyd Weston is awarded the tender for property roll no. 001 – 16303 with the highest bid of $4,137.86. Carried |

BE IT RESOLVED: That Leslie and Doreen Bailey is awarded the tender for property roll no. 001 – 22600 with the highest bid of $8,550.00. Carried |

BE IT RESOLVED: That Mark and Angel Campbell is awarded the tender for property roll no. 001 – 16002 with the highest bid of $4,820.01. Carried Mr. Irvine addressed council with his concerns that the clerk had stated that she felt there should be a quorum of council before the opening of the public meeting to open the Municipal Tax Sales Tenders. He did not think this was a necessity and felt the delay of three minutes could have been avoided by starting the meeting with the Reeve and one council member. Mr. Irvine also expressed concern with the clerk’s scheduling of the tender closing time of 3:00 P.M. and the opening at 7:00 P.M. |

BE IT RESOLVED: That we have the clerk contact the sheriff as to the rules of Civil Procedure to initiate the enforcement of order No. DC-04-000652-00 SV652/04 by writ of seizure and sale. Carried |

BE IT RESOLVED: That we pay $1200.00 to Clarence Fogal for livestock Valued for two, one month old calves with a live weight of 120 lb. Carried |
